Michael Zavros' works look almost like photography. Rather, he uses pencil and paint to create his life sized horses, with leap into the air and fall from the sky. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Zavros and his wife a few years ago. They are lovely people.

Oh my goodness - what a stable! Ms Degeneres created a breathtaking equestrian hideout for Ms De Rossi just as full of American antiques as saddlery and grooming supplies.

I think I would be quite afraid I would make everything dirty and be nervous to bring my horses inside...

Though naturally I do think I could conquer my fears if someone magically dropped such an equine palace into my backyard.

Siamese Fighting Fish are a familiar sight in pet shops around the world, due to their striking finnage and ability to tolerate un-aerated water as a result of their unusual labyrinth organ which allows them to breathe air directly from the water surface.

Their prevalence I think sometimes dilutes the impact of their beauty. Visarute Angkatavanich has brought betta splendens back into the spotlight with his stunning portrait series of fish in sharp focus.

They look rather a lot like submersed flowers, don't you think?
